Today is starting off with a bang. I have a feverish toddler who just needs to held and comforted. However, tomorrow brings my family together to celebrate my parents 40th wedding anniversary. I haven't seen my brother, his wife and my nephew since January and I am praying hard that Lauren's illness is short lived. We are only able to get our whole family together twice a year so this get together is really important to me.
I am making a trip to the pediatricians office this afternoon. Its an hour away, so it will take a good chunk out of my day. Then its back home to prepare, Orange Tapioca Salad, Potato Salad, Snickedoodles and Iced Tea for tomorrow.
No kidding, this seems to be my lot in life. I make plans to go somewhere or get together with someone and one of my kiddos gets sick. Not sure what the Lord is trying to teach me here, but I am looking real hard for the lesson in it!
Oh no! Having a sick child is NEVER fun. Praying that things get back to normal soon. Enjoy your family time. Sounds like lots of love and laughter coming your way! Remember to take pics!! :)
ReplyDeletePoor Lauren! It's never good timing for them to get sick, but it's especially hard when you have something like this planned. Praying that she'll get better FAST! And all that food you're making? Oh my. Sounds heavenly!
